Military Salute on "The Tonight Show"

From the SAF/PA Media Memo: NBC TONIGHT SHOW RECOGNIZES MILITARY MEMBERS: Maj Gen Pearson, AFFTC/CC, and other Air Force members from Edwards AFB will be part of the Tonight Show audience, hosted by Jay Leno, during a special show paying tribute to the military. Expect positive coverage tonight at 11:30 p.m. ET.
On a personal note, I lived at Edwards AFB for three years (79-82), and I recall a rather strong relationship between Hollywood and Edwards AFB, due to proximity (90 miles) and "glamour" (test pilots and H-wood stars). Two occasions stick out: the screening of "Conan The Barbarian" at the Edwards AFB Officers Club before it was commercially released, with the director (or producer?) attending; and Christopher Reeves (Superman!) and Barbara Eden (Jeannie) attending some similar type of screening, also at the O Club.

Sounds interesting...but I just can't bring myself to watch Jay Leno over Dave. Maybe it's an east coast thing....

Agreed! Jay is, bluntly, an idiot, especially when compared to Dave's cutting wit and intelligence. Jay should've stuck to the comedy-club circuit.
