April 30, 2003X2 - Finally!The only movie that I plan to see on its opening day is X2: X-Men United. Actually, I may see "Kill Bill" on opening day, too. Re: X-Men -- I really, really loved the first movie, and have been waiting impatiently for this one. Mind you, it takes a lot - A LOT - to get me to actually see a movie in the theater. First of all, there are very few "quality" movies that I actually want to see in their entirety...and second, with the two dozen movie channels we have on cable, they'll come to me eventually. The only two movies I saw in theaters over the last year, in fact, were "Signs" (ack-yuck-barf) and "Austin Powers III" (better & funnier than I thought it would be).My prediction for X2 weekend box-office: $65 million. Oh yes. We bought our tickets earlier today. :) X2 and Lord of the Rings are the ones that get first-day grabs from us. Well, actually, we might be peer-pressured into going to see Matrix: Reloaded on opening day as well, but.... eh... Kill Bill's the Uma Thurman flick, right?
