Most people know that I hate sports. All sports. There is, however, one exception - kind of. There is actually one moment in professional sports that I look forward to each year. Unfortunately, that day has not yet arrived this year. The day that I await each year is the ouster of the San Antonio Spurs from the NBA Finals (or semis, or whatever). I don't know much about these New Jersey Nets, but I'm rooting for them. (more, more, more) Having said that, I did stumble across something to appreciate about San Antonio (besides Taco Cabana breakfast tacos): a very good blog from Courtney. In her latest adventure, she endures an evening with some liberals who are shocked to discover that she isn't quite so liberal. Go give her a proper bloggy welcome! Now whatta ya bashin' the Spurs for, though actually I was rootin' for the Mavs to be represntin' the Great State of Texas in the NBA Championship. Posted by: Tiger at June 10, 2003 08:24 PMRE sports.... I'm only interested in sports that I've actually played myself. Kickboxing, karate, fencing, handgun combat competitions, stuff like that. I have noticed that, should you mention that you don't follow them, people who are really into the mainstream sports will sometimes act as if you're ...well, retarded in some way. Why, I have no idea. Hey, it's just entertainment! It's like wrestling except that there's actually some competition instead of a script. James Posted by: James R.
