December 22, 2003Decor DilemmaSo the Big Question right now is...how should we decorate the spare room/den/office? Originally, I wanted to do it up "Montana"-style (similar to "southwestern" or Sante-Fe, but with more more forest-green, and moose/elk/bear aplenty)...but The Beautiful Wife and Sassy are lobbying for a "Rat Pack" theme. Montana? Rat Pack? What say you, wise readers?
UPDATE: No, no -- no animal heads on the wall! The Montana theme just means silhouettes of moose, etc, etched or drawn onto lampshades and such! Primary colors are pine/forest green, black, and woodsy-browns and earthtones. And a "Rat Pack" theme celebrates the genius of Frank, Sammy, Dino, and the rest, in a Las-Vegas, retro-tiki, lounge+kitsch manner. I'm thinking if this fits in with the rest of your decor this would give you and yours the most versatility and fun. While Southwestern would fit better in a Montana home, it has really been over done and the theme is somewhat limited. Just something to think about.
