April 23, 2004Friday CatBlogging! We have two cats: The Cow Cat and Decar. Cow Cat is so named because her markings are very bovine-y. Decar is named such because we found her living under our deck (the spelling of her name was from then-7 y/o Sassy). Estimates put Cow Cat between 5 and 8 years old - feisty, spoiled, classy. Decar is older - vet said about 10 years, 4 years ago - and lived a hard life, we figure. She's extremely mellow; she just wants to be safe, comfortable, and fed. She can't meow very well; we think it hurts her to vocalize, so she just uses her beautiful eyes to talk to us. Decar *loves* a tummy rub, but if you try to rub Cow Cat's fluffy white tummy, you'll likely draw back a bloody stump. And now - on to the pictures...As promised: The Cow Cat, taken with an old digicam circa 2000; it's Decar, the Solar Kitty!; Cow Cat spins the Wheel of Life; Decar gets cozy in a suitcase; Cow Cat is boxed in; a question of balance; the dreaded Hypno-Kitty Stare; stalking the mouse; Decar is getting very sleepy; the rules say, cats on top; deep down, Decar and Cow Cat are sisters; more Solar Kitty!; and finally, Decar has the most beautiful eyes in the world.
