Owie! I took Tiger Kitty to the vet once after he'd gotten the best (I hope) of a fight with a neighboring kitty, and he was MOST unhappy with the vet, having his hip shaved, the cleaning, AND the shot. He proceeded to chew the nurse up... escape the examining table... and hide behind the receptionist's computer.
Of course... they asked me to retrieve him... which I tentatively and gingerly did... he wanted his dark corner back, tho, and when I tried to hold him... he then proceeded to chew my right hand up... We finally got him in a carrier... and I left with instructions to give him oral antibiotics... and my niece and I and the incarcerated tiger kitty headed for Kentucky. About 4 hours down the road, we had to stop at an emergency room because my hand was swelling and aching something awful... so I got a shot, too... and a prescription for oral antibiotics. Soooo... tell me... can you imagine how scary it was to hold him down and put HIS oral antibiotics into that mouth full of teeth using the very hand he'd chewed up? We survived...
