June 21, 2004Easy As 1-2-3Via Maura, who got it via Dave. Now it's my turn (and then yours)! Act your age? Probably. Actually, I suspect that many people think that I'm older than my age, given my "you kids keep that racket down!" tirades. On the other hand, seeing a flock of geese is sure to reduce me to helpless laughter. So you decide if I "act my age" or not. Born on what day of the week? Sunday, October 30, 1966, circa 1:20 am. Chore you hate? Laundry. The folding...my god, the endless folding. Gah. Dad’s name? Howard Henry. Pretty retro-cool, eh? Essential makeup item? Me boy - no makeup. However, when I was about 15 or so, and dabbling in earrings, punk & New Wave, etc, I did occasionally wear glittery eyeshadow. It's true. Nowadays, the only thing that comes close is lotion for my hands and elbows. Yep -- I've been domestimicated. Favorite actor? Oooh...tough one. Cary Grant, perhaps, or maybe Katharine Hepburn. Or maybe Audrey Hepburn. Gold or silver? Don't really care. Silver looks cooler, IMO. Hometown? Born in Phoenix, Arizona. But "home" for me is now Great Falls, Montana Instruments you play? Riiii-iiiight. Job title? In civilian-speak, it's "Healthcare Administrator." In military terms, it's "Flight Commander, Medical Logistics." Kids? Two! Both girls. Thank goodness. Living arrangements? Purchased our first home nearly two years ago. Me, the Better Living Wife, and the Better Living kidlets. Oh, and the two kittens, of course (Cow Cat and Decar). Mom’s name? Judith Need? Um...winning lottery ticket? Relief from my chronic back pain? Heck, right now I'd settle for a Dairy Queen "Reese's Peanut Butter Blizzard." Overnight hospital stays? Once in 1989 for the removal of all four wisdom teeth - just one night, no big deal. Second time was October 2002 for my appendectomy. One night stay, fascinating experience. Phobias? Heh. Some types of insects. Not spiders, though...they're very cool, and quite fascinating. And not ladybugs - they're cute. Quote you like? I can never think of a good quote when I need to. Sorry. But - there is a quote that deeply touched me back on that horrible day. I don't know if I would describe it as a quote that I "like," but it's a quote that simply strikes me as true and simple. Religious affiliation? None. I'm an Atheist. Siblings? One older half-brother. One "full" brother and one "full" sister. One ex-stepbrother. One ex-stepsister. One current stepsister. Remember, my father has been married five times. Time you wake up? On schooldays, 4:37 am (ugh). Weekends -- usually anwhere between 4:30 am and 8:00 am. Unique talent? None to speak of. Well...I'm pretty good with trivia and dates. Vegetable you refuse to eat? ALL OF THEM. Worst habit? I quit biting my nails over 2 years ago (thanks, Paxil!), so that probably leaves smoking as the "worst" habit. X-rays you’ve had? Hoo boy. Numerous sinus shots. A few chest shots. One wrist shot (age 9). Dental shots, annually. Yummy food you make? I'm pretty good at making Breakfast Tacos For Dinner (bacon, eggs, potato, cheese, all wrapped up in flour tortillas). And on rare occasions, I work up the strength to make lasagne, which the family seems to enjoy. But -- although not a "food" per se -- my coffee is renowned. Ask any of my co-workers; I've gotten a few of them hooked. Zodiac Sign? Scorpio. Arguably the coolest of the birth signs. Posted at June 21, 2004 04:57 AM | TrackBackCOMMENTS!
