November 11, 2004"Let's Roll, Kato!""Another challenge for the Green Hornet, his aide Kato, and their rolling arsenal, the Black Beauty! On police records a wanted criminal, Green Hornet is really Britt Reid, owner-publisher of the Daily Sentinel, his dual identity known only to his secretary and the district attorney. And now, to protect the rights and lives of decent citizens, rides The Green Hornet!" - From a Green Hornet fansite. I love this show...it ran for only one season, sadly. I think that it was just a little bit too late; if it had been possible to broadcast it in the 40s or early 50s, it would have been much more successful. On to some Green Hornet links:
Info about the incredible theme song to the show, which as you know was also brilliantly used in "Kill Bill Volume 1." What do The Green Hornet and The Lone Ranger have in common? More than you probably realize. Nice, simple introduction page if you're new to the series. And another one. And another very cool page. If you've got a spare $2,500, you can buy an original Green Hornet overcoat that was used during the show. Jump The Shark offers up two schools of thought: sixteen fans voted that the show "never jumped," while two fans (?) claim that it jumped the shark with the "alien invasion" episode. I'll admit, that two-parter was pretty damn cheesy, but not enough to call it a shark-jumper. So there's your Green Hornet fix for the day. If you get a chance, catch the show on the digital cable "Action" channel. Posted at November 11, 2004 10:08 PM | TrackBackCOMMENTS!
You knew I'd be reading this, didn't you? I'm wondering...Are you just finding out about The Reid Family or did you decide to Google? Any Hornet questions you got, just ask. Oh...on Yesterday USA.com, there's a show called the A-Train (show time varies) that runs a classic Green Hornet show every two weeks! If you really want to see how it all went down in the old days, you'll have to give it a listen! Posted by: Sam at November 12, 2004 02:38 AMI have all the Green Hornet tv shows on vcd's if you're intertested in copies. There are 9 cd's. It's not about search engine rank or advertising, either. It's about word-of-mouse, and presentation. More here Posted by: Bloggerman at December 2, 2004 10:49 AMPost a comment
