Our older cat, Decar, is relaxing tonight at the vet’s office. She began stumbling earlier today and couldn’t keep her balance, and in between tears we contacted the vet (Dr Norton - thank you!) and he met us at the animal hospital. Possibly
vestibular (peripheral or idiopathic - don’t know yet); he cleaned some gunk out of her ears, saw some yucky stuff in her right ear, gave her some meds to help her relax and fight the infection, and she is now resting peacefully overnight at the hospital. The vet is reasonably optimistic that she’ll be OK in a couple of days. We’ll see her tomorrow and get a progress report. In the meantime, you can
get to know Decar over at Catster (leave her a treat!)!

Hope all is well. I’ve seen this before with ear infections. Bet she’ll be glad to go home!
