Intermission
Whenever you wonderful people leave a comment here, I get an e-mail message, which also “pings” my cell-phone. Makes for often enjoyable “miniature” interruptions during the workday…as I’m drafting e-mails, creating presentations, and making the world safe for democracy, all of a sudden I get that little “zzzzzz” vibrate alert on my phone. I click the “View” option to see who it’s from, and it gives me a little smile to know that someone out there is amused/angered/entertained/provoked by my most recent entry.
As Coach Ernie Pantuso once said, “It’s kind of a nice break in the day, huh, Sammy?”

That is so cool! That your comments come directly to you like that. I just thought you kept real close track of your site. Do they charge you anything for the pings?

As much as I’m annoyed by actual phone calls on my cell, I hate to think what I’d do if I had email notifications of comments - especially today, when I had the marginal delight of actually interrupting a comment spammer in the process of loading me up with pr0n.

You’re a freak! I personally know why you have that little feature and it’s going to make you sterile.

I just started using the vibrate feature on my cell phone and now all I can say is I’m sure glad I have unlimited “call me” minutes. Call me! Call me! OH YES YES CALL ME!

Oooh! I’m going to have to make more comments throughout the day – to give you a little zing. Heh heh. You know, I’ll do it for democracy.
