Weekends Were Made…
I stopped consuming alcohol right about the time that I turned 21. Since then, I have had exactly the following: one glass of champagne at my wedding (1991); 1 beer to prove to my wife and my visiting mother that I could, indeed, be “flexible” – basically to prove to them that I could relax just a wee bit (1995); and one half-can of beer in a vain attempt to induce sleep during an insomnia-riddled week of grad school (2000).
But…if I ever – for some bizarre reason – drink another beer, it will be a Michelob, because Frank Sinatra did a commercial for Michelob back in the 70s (or 80s?).

Michelob is good stuff
Packaged more like champagne and is a smoother, nicer beer. One problem is it cost more so a lot of people eschewed it for that alone.

Michelob Ultra is great; we keep that, and the ever-crisp Aspen Edge, on hand here at the house.

Fear not, David. I’m sure I drink enough for both of us.
Scotch anyone?
