Spurs Lose!

Regular readers know that I hate sports -- basketball, football, baseball, hockey, racing, you name it -- but the one single event that I actually do care about each year at about this time has finally come to pass. My sole sporting wish every year is only that the San Antonio Spurs lose in the playoffs, and my wish has come true. Spurs lose! Spurs lose! Let it be known that, since 1989, every team that has won the NBA Championship has won at least two in a row (DetroitX2, ChicagoX3, HoustonX2, ChicagoX3, LakersX2)...except ONE -- the Spurs. I like to think that their win in '99 was truly a fluke, and the fact that they are the only time since 1989 to win one & only one championship underscores the fluke of that shortened season.
