Comments On: Boondock Buffoonery
Hee - I like the "Boondocks" comic, even if it isn't always funny. I can relate with one or all of the characters (even the cute little girls), at some point, and I guess that's what clicks for me. Huey is the radical that keeps us focused - but one track minds become trainwrecks. Riley is the idiot who's Black because it's kewl to be Black. You'd like to see him under the wheels of your car sometimes - but not in the hatin'-thu-brutha-way *snicker*. Caeser is the comical voice of reason, who can walk the line while remaining true to himself. A lot of this goes back to a movie poll I once had - can you separate the artist from his/her work? While I may not agree with McGruder's stance on things, I do enjoy his comic. Now, if you tell me that you love B.C., I'm coming after you. Posted by Penda at October 20, 2003 09:06 AMWhat a jerk. Just becasue you disagree on key points doesn't make him an idoit! Would you rather him write funny comics or car-jack you? Posted by Tiana at November 17, 2003 03:18 PMPost a comment
