Comments On: The Halloween Post

Thank you David.

That's an angle I hadn't considered before. It's kinda funny when you think about it.

I should find that Jack Chick tract on the Origins of Halloween. It is the funniest dang thing I have every read!

You know, one of my neighbors actually stop talking to us (in fact, she ignores us) since we put out our evil yard decorations.

Halloween is so not evil. Sure, some pagans may have celebrated some ahrvest festival around the same time... so what? I think the most pagan holiday out there is Easter -- most of its iconography comes from the Germanic fertility festival.

This is just another case of "the man trying to keep us down" from enjoying life. I'm Dj'ing this weekend and I can't wait to see the skimpy "evil" costumes on the ladies! Gotta love Halloween! I'll take pictures Dave.

When I am confronted by someone who mocks Halloween and calls it evil I have a very simple defense I use that you may borrow if it suits you:

Every party has a pooper that's why we invited you! Party Pooper, Party Pooper!

No matter how vigorous they are in their hatred of Halloween, they immediately leave me alone.

For those who say I can't enjoy that evil holiday Halloween, I remind them of the words of the Great Church Lady: "What do we get when we rearrange Santa? Saaaaaaaatan!"

LOL... you're killin' me Donna!

And besides which, there's all that leftover candy. ;-)
