September 26, 2005Batman
Caught bits and pieces of “Batman & Robin” on cable the last few days, and I’ve come to realize that George Clooney’s take on Bruce Wayne & Batman is a perfect balancing act between the “Dark Knight” and the Adam West versions. He really does pull it off, with a brooding, dark look at times, and other times uttering campy lines with just a hint of a smirk. I may be the only person on earth who thinks that Clooney did a good job.

Clooney is the best. Val Kilmer used to be my favorite, but that’s just a girl thing. Now who is your favorite 007?

You know, I think he did a great job as well, and you hit the point on the head. I think I told you before that Clooney was to play The Green Hornet, but turned it down to be THe Dark Knight. It’s too bad the rest of the cast of “Batman and Robin” stunk on ice, so to speak.

Hated Clooney’s Batman (little too much of the patented Clooney head-bob for the Dark Knight), but thought his Bruce Wayne was the best of the bunch. Perhaps they should’ve double-cast the role and had Keaton or Kilmer be the guy in the bat suit.

Wow Sam — didn’t recall that about Clooney, but he would indeed be a great Green Hornet!
